Configure Outlook Express:
  1. Connect to the internet through NSCnet Dial-Up.
  2. Open Outlook Express.

  3. Open the Tools menu and select Accounts.

  4. In the Accounts dialog box, click Add and then select Mail.

  5. In the Display Name box, type the name you want others to see when you send a message (ex. John Doe) and then click Next.

  6. In the Email Address box, type your full email address (ex. johndoe@nscnet.net) and then click Next.
  7. Under Email Server Names, select POP3 as the incoming mail server type, and then enter the names of the Next Step Computing mail servers where indicated:

          a) Incoming POP3 Server = mail.nscnet.net

          b) Outgoing SMTP Server = mail.nscnet.net

NOTE: The following steps may vary depending on the version of Outlook Express you are using. Please contact us for assistance if you have difficulty or are unsure of what to do with your version of Outlook Express.

    8.   Type your POP account name (ex. johndoe) in the POP Account Name        box, and your password in the Password box, and then click Next.

    9.   In the Internet Mail Account Name box, type a friendly name to identify this email account within Outlook Express (ex. John's Mail Account), and then click Next.

    10.  Click 'Connect using my local area network (LAN)'.

    11.  Click Finish.
